Pay structure
The framework of bands and criteria that determines what a role is paid, aligned to the evaluation factors.
A pay structure sets out the ranges attached to roles and the criteria that decide where within a range an individual sits. Under the Slovak act it must be aligned to the statutory evaluation factors, and that alignment was required by 31 July 2026. A structure that cannot be traced back to an evaluation is difficult to defend, because the explanation for any difference in pay ultimately rests on it.
