Job evaluation
The systematic assessment of roles against defined factors, and the foundation of every category and comparison.
A job evaluation scores roles against defined factors so that different jobs can be compared on a common basis. It is the foundation of the whole regime: categories of workers are drawn from it, work of equal value is established through it, and pay structures are aligned to it. Because there is no implementing decree in Slovakia, the evaluation an employer uses is its own, and its defensibility rests on being applied consistently and documented at the time.
